Writer's Block: Cool places

[Error: unknown template qotd]
The favorite town that I've visited is Powell River, BC. I love it because:
- It takes 2 ferry boats to get there
- My friend Anne lives there
- It's small, but it doesn't... feel small. there's no shopping malls, etc, but it has the stuff you need
- It's close to the prettiest place on earth (Texada Island)
- The land is just beautiful
- If you need to go to places like shopping malls, or big hospitals, you get to take ferry boats!
- It's quite isolated so it's not too busy with tourists
- There's mountains, there's beach, there's ocean, camping, swimming, etc. I'm from Saskatchewan. That stuff is awesome to me.
I honestly don't think I would mind living there too much. It might be tough for Josie, medical wise, but then again, that guarantees ferry rides every 3 months for Botox injections. As my degree comes closer to a wrap-up, I'm looking at programs at UBC and UVic. Here's hoping!

WTF no shopping malls? Powell River has two shopping malls. One is the Town Centre Mall and the other used to be called the Powell River Plaza but I think they just changed the name.

And P.R. is small. It's SMALL. It's isolated. If the weather gets bad, the ferries stop running. You might enjoy ferry rides in nice weather, but you might not enjoy it so much in weather like we had here yesterday with high winds and blowing snow.

There's absolutely no night life. There's probably no NaNo groups.

The climate, however, is much nicer than Calgary's.

Shopping malls like Calgary's. Huge monstrosities of things, complete with food courts, etc. I saw the one with the itty bitty wal-mart, but nothing like what I know as a shopping mall.

I think it'd be an adventure!
