To be honest, my wife was more excited for the concert than I was. I'd seen the band before, and they were alright, and I bought the tickets for her birthday, so it only made sense for her to look forward to the event a bit more than me.

We got there about an hour early, and that was a good thing. We had time to walk about the Jubilee (which I'd not seen since renovations), and find out where to be so we could beat the mad rush into the auditorium. Josie used her chair because her botox is tomorrow. Anyways, we got there, got to our seats, and I realized I left my book at home. Josie read, and I texted with a friend until the show started, while wheezing from fake smoke. So not necessary.

When they first came out, I wasn't impressed. They didn't really interact with the audience much until about four songs later. But once they got into their groove, as it were, they went back and forth joking and teasing. And the show was just fantastic. The audience really got into the fast songs, and I was on my feet and singing with everyone (except the Josie). The band mixed the paces of the songs with fast and slow, some were absolutely incredible. A song about England stood out in my mind, it was just beautiful.

They did a fun thing with the audience where they had us singing to them. We sang '500 miles' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. It was so funny.

The venue totally made the difference. I saw the band at the Saddledome, and the sound was about a thousand times better at the Jubilee. It was 'sold out to the doors,' and I'm not one bit surprised.

From a woman who wasn't as excited as her wife to be going, I think I had a better time at the show than she did!

Next up entertainment wise is Chicago on Jan 2nd at the same venue, but a bit closer to the stage. It's gonna be fantastic!
