Tomorrow my wife is going to some sort of thing that I'm more than welcome to come to, but absolutely not interested in. I'm electing not to go.

However, I have a paper I need to write before Tuesday, and I require internet access for research. Is there a place nearby Chinook Centre that is open after 6:30 that has free wi-fi? It's a bit of a drive to come back home, and then go back out to pick her up, so being economical, I'd like to stay in the area and still get my research paper written.

If there are no free places, where is a place that has Wi-Fi that I can pay for? How much does it usually run? Is it an hourly fee, or per-sign-in fee? I've never really used my laptop in a place where I've had to pay for it.

Thanks!

depending on your provider, I think Bell offers free wi-fi through Starbucks. I've used my laptop at Second Cup before and it's super easy.

You browse for networks, select the Second Cup one (it's normally called something coffee themed or you can ask the staff) and it will direct you to the paysite. You have to use a credit card. I remember the charge being higher than I expected, but that's because I had to purchase a block of time and only really needed 5 minutes.

Here's a link for second cup: http://www.secondcup.com/eng/locations.php#a1

Alternativey, here's a link for Starbucks: http://www.starbucks.ca/en-ca/_Our+Stores/Wireless.htm the Chinook Chapters location is wireless.

The only other place I can think of is the library.
