I refuse to be in the same room as my mother when she is smoking. She makes this difficult, insisting on smoking wherever she is in the house. If she asks me to help with dinner, she is smoking while cutting stuff up, and I will not go in there until the smoke clears, which annoys her. When she irons downstairs, and I'm already down there playing piano or watching TV, she will come down, and I will ask her not to smoke when she's down there because there aren't any openable windows, and she says "Just one", and lights up, then gets pissed that I leave. I'd rather have an angry mom, then lung cancer. I can't stop her from smoking, but I can stop myself from breathing it in. Also, that's why I don't drive with her anymore. I used to accompany her to trips to safeway or to IKEA or wherever, but she smokes in the van, and the passenger window won't roll down. My smoke-free zones seem to be my bedroom, and my car. I understand it's her house, her rules but it's still frustrating. She watched lung cancer take her own mother, and she still smokes. It's frustrating. I know the same thing will happen to her, and I really don't want it to, but there's nothing at all I can do. It really bothers me.

On another note, today was a pretty good day. I got up 9:00ish after about 6 good hours of sleep (yay!) and called Anthony who took a while to answer. We agreed to meet at 11:00 at the store for me to get my pay, and give up my key. He was late, so I waited around. After that, I deposited my cheque, and my insurance money and then went shopping. Because Anthony was late, I walked around sunridge, and deemed nothing good there, so I went to marlborough, and tried on some stuff that looked awful. So, I went to Deerfoot where a good friend of mine runs the fitting rooms/switchboard at the Wal-mart (I am white trash) and so I found a nice skirt (!!!) and sweater and a new bra (whee! mine are all getting ratty) and then I went to Payless and found some shoes for my huge impossible-to-fit feet.

Came home, and came on here for a bit and talked to Drewie, Jean-Marc, Dave and James online. Also, Clancy was on. I helped her with her essay and then she told me she wanted to take me for dinner as a birthday gift, and so we went to BP's and that was cool. Had a good talk with that girl, she's a great friend. Girl talk is always fun. After that, I went back to Sunridge because I forgot to get what I really wanted to get... a purse! I have been carrying my stuff around in a backpack because my purse broke, and I had no money to get another one :) Happy I am. Ran into Vanessa Knox today and her son when I was at Sunridge the second time.

Came home form that, and boom, a headache attacked. So, I had a nice bath in the tub, and read and listened to music. 'Twas nice, I hadn't had a bath bath in a long time, I usually only have time to shower. Must make more time for relaxation.

My sister wanted me to stay up until 3:00 so I could go and pick her up from her boy's house. I told her no, because I have a headache, and was about to go into the tub and well, who knows after that. She must realize I am not a taxicab...

Tiredish now, I didn't study at all. Must get my ass into gear, and study at least 2 hours tomorrow.

You've already won me over, in spite of me
and dont' be alarmed if I fall head over feet
:)

So, that was my exciting day.

As soon as the ibuprofen kicks in I'm going to bed. Until then, I'm here, cuddling a lonely kitty who is confined to the bathroom because of reasons beyond his and my control (mom said so.)

I bought a packet of eyeshadow today, clancy helped me choose it. it was cute and subtle and nice and I lost it. It's gone... Gone where, I don't know. which is the frustrating part. Too tired to care, I'll be annoyed tomorrow I suppose.

Sister talked her way into going to her boy's place until 3. Had I done that at her age, I'd have been shot on the spot for even asking. How I LOVE the oldest child syndrome.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks - It's from Hamlet, and what I thought immediately after re-reading this entry... I think I got it right, I haven't read or seen Hamlet in a long time... I have Branagh's version of the movie, I should sit down and watch it soon :)
