They won't stop calling..

My "I quit" letter was too nice. They won't leave me alone.

What part of "I quit" dont' they understand?!

it should have been:

Dear A********* and L*******;

Your store sucks. It's boring and drives me crazy. All I do is windex shelves, sit on a chair, and when there's no one else in the store, sing. Not that I dont' like to sing, but it's SUCH a boring store, I quit. Also, you pay crappily. I'm worth much more than that.

You know, that's probably how it should be. All that formal, polite stuff is really just a bunch of crap. People have to start being more honest. But it's hard when you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But sometimes, it could be a good thing that they get hurt... no?

It's not crap, not always. I was honest, I said I didn't have time to work there, and that I had taken on too much. I was polite because that's how you do business, and because you don't want to ever burn any bridges because if you have to go back, it'll be an option for you.

They just don't understand "no!" and I have a hard time saying it.

Yeah, well, society likes "formal letters" so that is that.
So don't go back to work on whenever you have work next. Either that, or call them up and tell them, "My letter of resignation was final. I am no longer working for you. Please stop calling/talking to/writing leters to/"whatever-else-they-are-doing" me.

*nods* I don't mind writing formal letters, it's the fact that they don't believe me when I said "I quit!"

Kerri-Lee called while I was at the hospital, and left a message, and I didn't call back. I'm not going to, unless my pay magically doesn't show up or something.

Some people can be so strange. I quit means i quit, end of story. That type of thing has happened to me often. They say "but your just such a good worker - stay for ONE more week?" And then i have to walk up to them one day (after saying that I quit several times and them thinking it's a joke) and basically yell "You guys suck! I quit! Do not pass go, do not collect $200!!!"
