Morning...
I wake up this morning (ok, afternoon, I had a very very busy day yesterday, and worked a night shift the day before so I had maybe 4 hours of sleep) and as I climb down the stairs, my roommate hands me a square of dark chocolate, and tells me he would like to make me an omelette this morning becuase he's on a roll with them. Yum!!
I'm SO glad we got rid of Shelly!! Or rather, she got rid of her self.
The roomies set up the Christmas Tree yesterday, and this morning is snowing. I blame them becuase now Mother Nature thinks we have permitted her to allow snow to accumulate, and that this is ok. In all seriousness though, we've been really lucky with winter/snow this year. This is the first time it's really stuck.
A friend from Jr. High/High School got married yesterday. I got to see a bunch of the 'band kids', and it was really neat. The bride looked so good and so happy, and it was beautiful. The bride is chinese so they did a traditional christian wedding becuase they are both christians, and then put some elements of a chinese wedding in at the reception. The tea ceremony was very neat. The bride and groom took turns serving tea to their and each-other's parents respectively to symbolize thanks for raising me well. When the bride served tea to her own parents, it was a way of saying goodbye, and when the groom served tea to them it was a thank you for giving me your daughter thing, I think. Both the chinese and 'christian' wedding dresses were just amazing. I'm so glad I got to go.
Being back at work is fantastic. I got hugs from my boss and many of the nurses. They're having a christmas party on the 11 and I'm working, but the party is in the spiritual room at work, so I will pop in for the gift exchange. I've figured out how to make chainmaille christmas tree earrings, so I'm going to make a pair for the gift exchange. With the time it takes, I think that they would equal a value of $15. And they're incredibly cute.
I need to cut down on my coffee consumption. I'm craving a cup right now. So I'm gonna go get one :)
