Nov. 19th, 2003 12:13 amToday fucking ROCKED!!
Had my final finals. Went in, wrote the written part (98%) and then did my clinical eval. We had to do handwashing, do a full set of vitals on a patient, reposition the patient, transfer the patient, then do a catheter change on Kelly (the dummy). After we all finished, Tracy called us into the main classroom, and said "You will all advance to practicum. You all did very well with the exception of Chandra whose performance in the exam was the closest to perfection in this class, or that I have ever seen. You should be very proud of yourself, Chandra." *cue red face*
Do you know what it's like to be singled out, and then praised like that? It's most excellent. I had a goofy grin on my face then, and I still do now. I am so proud. I did something, I completed a course, that four out of the original seven people in it dropped or failed out of. In that course, I started strong, and finished stronger.
I can't wait until practicum. Monday at 0945 for orientation.
I am teh roxx0rz!
