Nov. 8th, 2003 12:37 pmYesterday was oddly mixed up with pleasant and unpleasant things. Pleasant ones were good enough to rule out the unpleasant ones, and make me not really care much about them.
Pleasant: Woke up in a good mood, and headed off to my exam. I got there first (of course) and studied my cards a bit while everyone else arrived. Our school's office is in an office building, so we took over the board room, and wrote the exam with John there making sure we didn't cheat, then Tracy came in just as I finished, took my exam to mark it, then gave us a little suprrise - a charting assignment to see how proficiently we could chart in a short amount of time. Ack!! so I start on it, and when I'm about halfway done, everyone else is done their exam, so John and Tracy go to mark the exams in her office which is across the building, and we are chatting about our tests while doing the charting one. Tracy started calling us in one by one to get our marks, and to hand in our assignment. When she got to me, I was uber nervous, so I walked in, and she said "How do you think you did?" and I said "Ok" "Did you alter your study techniquie" "Yeah, I used cue cards and brought them everywhere with me" "Well, it paid off. 94%, congratulations!" I looked over the test, saw my errors, then she asked to see my charting test. I gave it to her, she read it, put it in my file and said "Perfect. You made my day. Any questions about med admin?" and I told her I'd call her if I did, and I left with a great big grin on my face.
Unpleasant: Since I was in the area of town, I gave X his stuff back, and got mine back. He invited me in, and I refused because I had a bunch of shit to do yesterday, and apparently that = disgust that he saw in my eyes. Whatever, he can think what he wants. Truth be told, he's "blocking everyone out of my life on jan 1st" so in all aspects, what's the point in trying to work out a frienship when he's going to fuck off to himself on 1st january? More hurt for Chandra. He's hurt me twice, never again, I said. Boo to him.
Pleasant: I came home, had a nice sandwich and did internet stuffs.
Unpleasant: I picked up my kitty, petted him, put him down and saw a bunch of blood on my arm! He cut his leg, so I held him down while my sister cleaned it and he's ok. Poor little guy :(
Pleasant: Phone conversation with my Clancy. It turns out her grandpa is retiring and selling the place they live in right now, and he's moving somehwere outside the city, so she's getting a condo this summer, and he's going to pay the mortgage for her for the first three years while she's still in school. She was looking for a roommate. I'm looking for a roommate to move in with this summer... Do you see where I'm going here? I'm SO excited :D Independance, freedom. Of course, this all rests on "Does Chandi pass her course or not" but I think I will, and I will find a full time job right away after I graduate so I can save for the 5 or 6 months, then I'm good to go :D Details will be worked out later :)
So, yesterday mostly rocked :)
