I am STILL sick. Why am I having such a problem shaking this thing? *takes a multi*

I was supposed to donate blood today but a) I'm still sick, and b) They're still on strike. How weird and awful is that? What happens when the supply is used up? It had best be resolved quickly, because blood can only be stored for 45 days (that's whole blood, not sure about platelets or FFP or anything else) but after that, what happens? They've already lost two days of donation... it's no good.

My work called, I'm not answering. I have SO much stuff to get done today

- Eat something
- Drink something
- Shower
- Clean my room
- CHOOSE FRICKEN AUDITION PIECE
- Practise said audition piece until my lips fall off

So yes, I will try to get that all done today. My audition is in a month less a day, and so I'm seriously worried. Haven't played with a group for more than 15 minutes since last band camp, and haven't really touched my horn since November. I'm pooched. I will end up a lowly C-bander. *pouts*

Yesterday, I got to go to Andrew Cantwell's place. He's got almost $3500 in birds now, and they are adorable except for the big green one who climbed up my arm, scratching it, up onto my shoulder, sat on the back of my neck, and cleaned himself. The scratches are gone, but you could still see them last night. His cockateils are a handful too, especially when you're dealing with two of them. One was infatuated with the bar on the nosepiece of my glasses. Crazy things. He's also got an anti-social cockatoo.

La di da. I will just add again that I love Evanescence, and they'd best come to Calgary.

The RIAA is threatening something like $250,000/song downloaded. That's bullshit. I mean, I work at a fast food place, and I'm a student. Here. Take my savings account *hands them $350* There. Happy? *rolls eyes* Seriously though, what are they going to do? Put all of us downloaders into prisons?

I found me a floppy! Nothing juicy on it though... Just old school stuff. Meh.

I am continueing this entry to avoid beginning cleaning my room... even thoug I know there's no way out... I am trapped...

Someone buy me "Sleeping With Ghosts" by Placebo. I've got 2 of their others, I just can't afford a CD now (How bad is that? although, I'm going on holidays for a week, and not getting paid, but still have to pay insurance so that is why I can't spend anything...)

*stretches* Ok. Must get started. Will keep you posted on my progress ;)

Mom comes into my room. I'm sitting here, doing fuck all...

She sees the ninja turtle figurine on my desk, and gives me an odd look.

I pick him up, and pet him.

Mom says "No wonder you're alone"

I say "I have Michaelangelo. That's all I need"

She rolls her eyes as I kiss my ninja turtle and she leaves

I think it's love... :P

Rules.

I think my room cleaning must be done in stages...

1. Garbage stuff - Anything that cannot be recycled or given to charity and that I no longer need (and we are going by NEED, not want because I am a pack rat) will be in the garbage. I am strong, I am strong...

2. Recycleables - Goodbye, bottle collection that collects dust. Goodbye little piece of paper I wrote on in grade 4.

3. Next, a way to organise my clothes... If I haven't worn it since the last time I organized my clothes, or if it has holes in it, it will be donated to the ER's stockpile of clothes for trauma patients. (They often get their clothes cut off, or just don't come in with any on. We have a collection in the ambu-bay for donations.) They are usually only worn home, so if they have holes, it's okay, is what the social worker said.

4. Shoes. Again, same policy. Donate to ER.

5. Books - If I dont' read them, or look to them for reference, then they will go in a box to be put downstairs. If they are child books, they can go in the garage to be sold, or donated to charity.

6. Odds and ends - I have no need for these. Garbage rule applies here.

7. Needed stuff - Find a place for it. If I can't find a place, then I will downsize. What do I really need, and what can go?

I would like to have my trombone on a stand in my bedroom like my guitars are. However, I recall ordering a stand from St. John's music last summer, and they have yet to phone me. So, I will try Long and McQuade. Hopefully better service.

Cleanin will commence after lunch.
