How to play with my kitty-cat:

-Put on leather glove
-Put hand on the floor, wait for cat to come and attack.
-Put salve on scratch marks where glove doesn't reach.

How to play with German Shepard Dog

-Put on leather glove
-Walk around house. Dog will see you, and attack your hand
-Let dog bite your hand while growling and wagging her tail.
-After glove is good and slimy, say "that's enough" and pet the dog.

Serously. I must have a sign that says "My right arm is a chew toy for animals" somewhere on me. People reading might be worried about my playing like that with a dog. She's 11 years old, and the sweetest dog ever. If you say "Enough", she stops automatically. Today she bit down a little hard, and I shrieked "ow!" and she stopped right away and gave me puppy kisses. :)

I saw my first seisure today in the ER. a guy came in, and he was rather ill. Not something I'd like to happen to anyone I know. The nurses were holding him down and the RT was suctioning out his lungs so he could breathe. Pretty scary, but it didn't freak me out or anything. A good thing, considering I'm going to be an RT...

Helped a man with a dislocated shoulder and his wife around the ER today. He couldn't walk because of the pain he was in, and she was carrying alot of his things around (he had a tool belt on, and couldn't sit in the wheelchair with it on him, so she carried that, his jacket, and his wallet, plus her jacket. I asked after I drove him to admitting if they wanted me to stay, and they said "yes." so I waited, and on our way to MET (minor emerg. treatment) she said how other hospitals dont' have nurses around to lead the way that this hospital did, and I corrected her and told her I was not a nurse, but a volunteer. She seemed so totally greatful that I stayed with them until the UC showed up at the door of MET and that I pushed his wheelchair there and led their way. She was all "You know, what goes around comes around, and because you donate your time to helping people, people are going to help you, and you will be well taken care of. God bless you, and people like you." I almost melted. A simple little thing like that... staying with a woman and a man, helping them maybe 50 feet from one part of the hospital to the other, and waiting with them until the UC got back and told them what to do... it made a difference in their lives, and they were thankful. It's things like that that just make you feel good. Something so small made such a difference... Maybe that's why I want to do what I want to do. Corny as it sounds. I like to help people.

Cheesyness aside, I have a chem assignment and quiz to do. :)
