Internet is back. False alarm. Dad found the money magically... I wonder if some day, he'll find my money

I have been on my feet ALL day. I have not-so-good circulation in my legs, and so the blood likes to pool. My feet are swollen, so I have them elevated on a chair with two pillows under them. my left one has gone tingly which isn't good. I wish I had normal legs and feet.

Today was interesting. I worked Emerg, and nothing horribly exciting happened, other then the evil UC was there again, and I pointedly ignored her. Laurie walked in at 11 and promptly put me to work (She's a social worker who adores me :D) and that kept me busy for a while but mostly I stood around and read my cuecards, even though it was busy as all hell in the department.

After that, I drove my car to whitehorn, parked it there, and went downtown to the W.R.Castell library. I studied for a good hour and a bit, then went on the computer then put another 45 mins of studying in. After that, walked to work, stood on the hard cement floor for 4.5 hours, then caught the train.

On the way to the train, a guy came up to me and a guy I work with (Darcy) and told us that he is bipolar, and was just discharged from the foot today, and that he came to calgary with a job set up, then he had a depressive episode and wound himself up at the foot, and ended up without a job, and a way back to lethbridge, and do we have any money for him. I gave him the change in my pocket from the coffee I had at the library, and Darcy gave him a dollar.

When I got to City Hall station after I crossed the street, a native man came up to me and asked me for fifty cents, he needed it to buy a ticket for the train. I told him I didn't have any, that I had given my money to someone else (true!) and so he asked for a ticket, and the only one I had was mine (again, true, also, I have no way to get to work on friday. no more tickets, no money. hum...) but I offered him a donut from my box of timbits (we all got a box of leftovers from Tim's beside the one PK booth that I work at) he accepted of course, and thanked me. I then realized that this man had probably not washed his hands in the longest time, and probably not since he peed last... I didn't want the donuts anymore, and so when he asked for another, I gave him the whole box. He certainly seemed to need them more than I did... especially if he couldn't afford to get on the train.

When I got on the train, he went to another door, and then I look up and there are the two guys who talked to me and the girl who I drove home the day of the snowstorm. They remembered me too, (on the day of the storm, the train was packed, and these guys were chatting with me and another girl, whom I chatted with after they got off the train and ended up driving home becuase the weather was god awful) and we chatted a bit then I got into my flashcards. I WILL ace this next exam. I have to.

I also signed up for another shift at the foot on Sunday night. I've never worked a night shift there, and so I'm pretty excited. Though I'm busy as fuck for the next few days. crazy stuff.

I wish my feet would stop hurting. They're feeling hot now, and they're not under a blanket, and they're naked. owwww :(
